SHIFT SETTER - PORT ELIZABETH, Port Elizabeth

Reporting to the Production Manager in Port Elizabeth, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following outputs:

• Assisting in achieving a production efficiency of 85%
• Assisting in ensuring that raw material wastage levels are maintained below 1.4% of material used
• Setting machines according to the best practices
• Conducting mould and material trials as required
• Reporting and assisting with machine and mould maintenance requirements
• Ensuring that machinery and moulds are effectively maintained, serviced and stored
• Ensuring top quality products are produced
• Practicing a high standard of housekeeping and safety
• Assisting with some fabricating in the factory as needed

To be considered for this position applicants must meet the following criteria:

• N3 (mechanical, electrical or Instrumentation) or higher N qualification essential (trade not required)
• Preference will be for FMCG or Mechanical/Electrical experience
• At least 2 years work experience in a technical or maintenance role essential
• Must be able to work shifts and own transport is essential
• Extrusion Blow Moulding experience and experience with Uniloy machines essential
