Project Estimator
Responsibilities:
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to determine the scope of work.
- Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and other project-related expenses.
- Prepare comprehensive proposals and quotes for clients.
- Collaborate with sales team members to understand client needs and provide accurate pricing information.
- Maintain a database of cost data and pricing information.
- Track project costs and ensure they align with the approved estimates.
- Participate in sales meetings and presentations as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve the estimation process and reduce costs.
- Ad hoc duties as required by Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Proven experience in sales estimation or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Drivers Licence.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Automotive industry knowledge or experience required.
