Junior Bookkeeper - Coega, Port Elizabeth

Our client, in the manufacturing industry and a prominent brand; is seeking to employ a Junior Bookkeeper to join their Finance team based in Coega. 

Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or Business Administration
• Minimum 1–3 years' experience as a Junior Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
• Experience with creditors and debtors functions
• Knowledge of SAP and EMA systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Financial Administration

• Maintain accurate financial transaction records
• Process and post financial transactions to subsidiary accounts
• Reconcile subsidiary accounts and general ledger accounts
• Maintain historical financial records electronically and manually
• Assist with defining operational and product-related costs
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month-end financial reporting

Fixed Assets Administration

• Assist with maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
• Ensure timely capitalisation of fixed assets
• Support fixed asset tracking and reporting processes

Creditors and Debtors Administration

• Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously
• Reconcile creditor accounts to supplier statements
• Prepare creditor payments for authorisation
• Obtain approvals for payments exceeding authorised limits
• Support debtor and accounts administration activities

Intercompany Transactions

• Process intercompany invoices
• Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions
• Ensure accurate financial reporting between entities
