PrEng, Electrical Project Management – Municipal Services

1 Year Contract with the possibility to become permanent 

We require a project manager to assist in the City of Tshwane for at least 3 times a week and must be located in their office. They must have experience in Electrical Mechanical works

The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality is planning and implementing capital projects. The projects are implementing across different departments and with varying scopes. They are implemented on different contracting strategies and forms of contract. They are all implemented in line with the six stages of a project. The City requires a Project Management service provider which will act on behalf of the Accounting Officer on various Mega and catalytic on all the stages of the projects

The scope of works entails the following, but not limited to:

a) Manage key programmes in the city

b) Perform life cycle costing for key programmes in the city

c) Cost control of projects

d) Contract and specialist services agreements

e) Assist departments to plan projects and produce milestones

f) Assist the departments to report progress on a monthly, quarterly bi-annually and annually

g) Perform performance valuation, suggest and implement remedial actions for poor project performance

h) Assist in the valuation of variations to the scope of work including negotiation of rates and prices and the preparation and conclusion of financial final accounts with contractors

i) Advice on contractual matters including resolution of contractual claims and disputes

j) Assist in assets management related matters

k) Preparation and co-ordination of the procedures and documentation to facilitate practical completion of the works; managing, administering and monitoring the contract and processes,

Qualifications required

PrEng Electrical Engineer (Non-Negotiable)

BEng Electrical Engineering, BSc Electrical Engineering Degree

Matric Certificate

Valid Drivers Licence

Must have previous experience in Mega Municipal services projects.
