POSITION: Roof Technician/Installer/Carpenter

LOCATION: Pretoria

SALARY: Will be discussed

STARTING DATE: ASAP

JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for an experienced roofer/installer to join our team. You'll be installing timber roof trusses & roof covering such as metal sheeting, roof tiles etc. ensuring safe and durable roofs and fix damaged parts such as, for example, broken shingles. You'll install all materials in good order and set up systems, such as insulation etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent carpentry experience in timber roof trusses
• Experience installing/erecting timber roof trusses
• Experience installing various roof coverings such as metal sheeting & roof tiles
• Must be fit to work on heights and able to work on heights for long hours
• Must have physical strength and a good balance
• A code 10 with truck driving experience will be an advantage

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Building and repairing roofs
• Choosing tiles, wood shingles and other necessary roofing materials
• Ensuring roofing projects are delivered on time
• Work at heights while operating various machinery and equipment
  Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask.
• Build roofs using various materials and tools
• Deliver projects within timeline
• Inspect damages
• Repair or replace broken materials
• Remove debris from roofs to place materials
• Use hand tools and other equipment (e.g. scaffold, ladder)
• Follow safety rules
• Ensuring the site is cleaned after each shift
