Accounts Clerk, Pretoria

A well-established Agricultural company requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate to be appointed in the above-mentioned vacant position.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Diploma in Accounting
• Minimum of five years' administration and bookkeeping experience
• Good understanding of accounting principals
• Computer literate
• Sage or SAP will be an advantage
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage stress effectively
• Must have high accuracy and attention to detail

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing balance sheets, and bank and VAT reconciliations monthly
• Resolving reconciling items monthly
• Ensuring the asset register is continuously updated
• Daily reconciliation of all commodities on the Position reports and Variation Margin report
• Ensuring all relevant month end calculations, journals, confirmations and supporting documents are finalised
• Processing journals with supporting documents
• Filing all workings and supporting documents
• All month end provisions raised
• Reviewing trial balance accounts throughout the month (expenditure and income) to ensure that there are no material deviations
• Allocating costs to different/correct cost centres
• Processing employee claims and attaching all supporting documents to the claim
• Preparing and filing all supporting documents
• Applying for new petrol and toll cards, and cancelling or updating existing cards
• Producing petrol card usage statements for drivers on request by employees or managers
• Issuing and storing new 3g cards, laptops and chargers
• Understanding the policy for employee laptops

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
