Credit controller Legal FTC 12 MONTHS, Pretoria

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Credit controller based in Pretoria.

The main function of this role is to ensure the optimisation of the collections of the pre-legal Ledger, initiate and administer requisite legal action in the recovery of money

Duties and responsibilities

Functional Management

• Collect outstanding debts from the client's pre-legal and ant other customer base pertaining to overdue customer Ledger
• Conduct collection activities by a written and verbal communication
• Coordinate legal efforts on behalf of the company with appointed legal counsel
• compile all legal collection reports and any other reports requested by management
• Monitor, reduce and recommend the payment of legal collection disbursement cost

Risk and Compliance management

• Assist in identifying and adhering to fraud controls risk prevention principles sound governance and Compliance processes and tools to identify and manage risks
• provide evidence to all internal and external audits
• Maintain quality risk management standards in line with ISO requirements
• Adhere to all relevant laws, policies and applicable IFRS standards and standard operating procedures

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in legal, finance, credit management, accounting or related field
• 3 years working experience
• Experience in working with Ledger portfolios across multiple industry sectors and/or company sectors
