Civil Engineer / Civil Technologist, Pretoria

An excellent opportunity has become available to join a leader within the Engineering industry, as a Civil Engineer / Civil Technologist. The role is based in the Pretoria area.

Requirements:

• B Eng / BSc / BTech Eng in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years' experience in the design and implementation of municipal services
• Must be registered as a Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech Eng
• Experience in AutoCAD / Civil 3D, Civil Designer and or a similar design package

Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial, quality, resourcing, scheduling and technical risk during project lifecycle
• Experience in professional services tendering and agreements
• Experience and understanding of statutory approval processes
• Lead and manage a design team, including mentoring of junior staff members
• Experience in construction contract documentation compilation (SAICE GCC) and procurement processes
• Experience in contract administration
• Work well in a team environment
• Strong communication and people relation management skills
• Work well in a dynamic team environment and able to function independently with limited guidance
• Sense of urgency and ability to respond efficiently and effectively in the execution of project tasks
• Suitable candidate must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle, candidate must be willing to travel to remote sites
