Objective of this Scope of Work
The main purpose of this position is to transform raw data/material into meaningful information that can be used to drive business strategies and decision functions as per BI standards in the company.
The main purpose of the position is to assume the role in the design, development, and execution of data solutions tailored to distinct Umoja initiatives PA Clients. The primary objective is to guarantee the delivery of high-calibre training that facilitates the enhancement of performance, as well as the successful adoption and utilization of new practices.

Scope of Services Definition
The scope will include but will not be limited to:
Processing and analysing data and design visualization to turn them into actionable insights valuable to the business.
The developer will be required to perform development functions as per BI standards in the company

Key responsibilities:
Provide the following solution architecture services for the PA Department: (Projects, Programmes and new Demands)
Providing BI reports and tools.
Collaborating with senior developers to gather and understand business requirements.
Assisting in data preparing and transformation tasks.
Providing support to end users.
Perform SQL queries: -designing, coding, testing, and aggregating the results to create useful information.
Write technical documents on the database content.
Develop, design and analyse data architecture and data warehouse.
Fundamental key skills in data integration, modelling, presenting tactics and concepts.
Creating dashboards, databases, and other platforms that allow for efficient collection and evaluation of BI data
Translate data and document business requirement.

Knowledge, experience and personal competencies

Education and experience:
A minimum of a degree in
Experienced with BI tools
DBA background
Business analysis
Debugging/trouble shooting
Min of 3 years experience in BI developing position.

Training and Transfer of Knowledge
Training and knowledge transfer documents to be submitted and presented to company in a traceable and accessible repository to enable smooth handover to company employees when need arises and/or at the end of each project.

Reporting
The consultant will report directly to the Project/Programme Manager (where the BI Developer has been assigned to a Project or Programme) in terms of managing deliverables, however in terms of content, methodologies and approaches, will work under guidance and direction of the Solutions Architect lead.
