About the Role You will be responsible for designing and owning end-to-end solution architectures across a portfolio of systems focused on

core enterprise data and transactional platforms .

This role requires strong expertise in

cloud architecture (AWS), system integration, and modern DevOps practices , combined with the ability to influence stakeholders and guide engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities Architecture&Design

Design and own end-to-end solution architectures aligned with business and IT strategy

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs

Evaluate technologies and recommend scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions

Define integration patterns across systems, APIs, and platforms

Cloud&Platform Engineering

Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS best practices

Define infrastructure-as-code patterns (Terraform, AWS CDK, Ansible)

Ensure alignment with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation principles

Drive cost optimisation, performance, and scalability improvements

Integration&Data

Design integration architectures across multiple systems and platforms

Work with APIs, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns

Apply strong data modelling principles, including document databases (e.g. MongoDB)

Collaborate with integration teams to define shared standards and touchpoints

Governance&Delivery

Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards

Produce high-quality technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks

Support testing, deployment, and delivery activities

Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis across systems

Leadership&Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders across the business

Mentor and guide development teams on architecture and best practices

Drive alignment between business needs and technical solutions

Support iterative, value-driven delivery within agile environments

Essential Skills&Experience

8+ years’ experience in solution architecture and system design

Strong experience with AWS cloud architecture and services

Proficiency in backend technologies (Java, Python, or TypeScript)

Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Ansible)

Strong knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, and middleware

Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices

Experience with data modelling and databases (preferably MongoDB)

Strong security-by-design principles (IAM, secure communication, compliance)

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Advantageous

Experience with AWS data services (Glue, Athena)

Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration

Exposure to frontend technologies (e.g. Angular)

Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and FinOps practices

Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)

Experience with enterprise integration platforms

Automation of infrastructure and deployment pipelines

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

Proven experience designing cloud-native and enterprise integration solutions
