We are seeking a skilled

BESS Engineer

to support the design, development, and implementation of battery energy storage projects. You will play a key role in integrating energy storage solutions with renewable energy systems and grid infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

Design and engineer Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for utility-scale and commercial projects Perform system sizing, modeling, and performance analysis Support project development, including feasibility studies and technical due diligence Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and stakeholdersOversee installation, commissioning, and testing of BESS projects Ensure compliance with grid codes, safety standards, and regulations Troubleshoot system issues and optimize performance Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 3–7+ years of experience in energy storage, renewables, or power systems Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery technologies and BESS architecture Experience with power system studies and simulation tools (e.g., ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD)Familiarity with grid integration, inverters, and SCADA systems Understanding of South African grid codes (advantageous) Please send your CV to [emailprotected]
