Senior Industrial Automation Engineer, Pretoria

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of industrial automation systems

Take technical responsibility for complex automation projects from concept through to commissioning

Ensure all automation solutions comply with relevant engineering standards and client specifications

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers within the automation team

Review system designs, code, and documentation to ensure quality and consistency

Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting of automation systems on site and remotely

Collaborate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum 7 years’ experience in industrial automation engineering

Strong hands‑on experience with

Siemens automation platforms

Proven experience leading or taking ownership of automation projects

Ability to mentor and technically support other engineers

BEng

or

Bachelor of Engineering

in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
