Solaris and Linux environments

What You’ll Be Doing

Administering and maintaining

Solaris 11 OS

environments

Managing patches, SRUs, upgrades, and system lifecycle

Performance tuning and throughput optimisation

Managing

Logical Domains (LDOMs), Zones, ZFS, SMF, IPS, ILOM, IPMP

User, access&role-based security administration

Backup strategy design, testing&disaster recovery planning

Automation scripting (Shell / Perl)

Working with vendors&evaluating new system management tools

What You Need to Bring

7–10 years Linux system administration experience

2–4 years Solaris 11 administration experience

Strong Solaris stack knowledge: LDOMs, Zones, ZFS, SMF, IPS, SRU patching

Solid networking&security fundamentals

Shell / Perl scripting for automation

Proven troubleshooting and system optimisation expertise

Nice to Have

Solaris Certified Systems Administrator (SCSA)

Solaris 11 Network Administration certification

RHCE or related Linux certifications
