Divisional Operations Manager (FMCG Wholesale & Distribution) | Pretoria My client, a leading FMCG wholesale and distribution organisation, is seeking an experienced Divisional Operations Manager to oversee and manage all operational activities within the division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and merchandising excellence, operational efficiency, team performance, and stakeholder satisfaction across retail and wholesale syndicated services. The role requires strong leadership to ensure consistent execution of operational standards and achievement of business growth objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG operations management
• At least 3 years in a middle management role
• Proven experience managing large teams in FMCG retail and/or wholesale environments
• Strong background in sales and merchandising operations
• Wholesale experience is essential (non-negotiable)
• Strong analytical and operational planning capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement operational plans aligned with business objectives
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, and cost controls

• Drive sales performance across retail and wholesale channels
• Ensure stock availability and reduce out-of-stock situations
• Oversee merchandising standards and in-store execution
• Manage promotional compliance and execution effectiveness
• Conduct store visits and ensure execution quality

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers
• Address and resolve operational and service-related issues
• Gather and analyse customer feedback and market insights
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

4. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, manage, and develop large operational teams
• Conduct performance reviews and development planning
