Financial Controller (CA(SA)), Pretoria

My client is hiring a qualified CA(SA) to join their fast-paced operational environment as a Financial Controller based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Director and will play a key role in financial administration, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting support, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across the business.

The ideal candidate must be highly organised, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working accurately under pressure in a demanding operational environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Must be a qualified CA(SA)
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar Financial Controller or accounting-related role
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational, coordination, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and management of financial reports
• Process and review financial transactions accurately and timeously
• Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting
• Prepare bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Support audits and provide required financial documentation
• Coordinate with various departments regarding financial information and reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Assist the Financial Manager with daily financial operations and ad hoc duties
• Identify discrepancies and resolve financial inconsistencies promptly
