The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategies, frameworks, and processes within the organisation. The role requires a highly experienced professional with strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, policies, and strategies.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report on organisational risks and mitigation measures.
- Facilitate strategic and operational risk assessments across business units.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, governance frameworks, and risk management standards.
- Provide risk management advice and support to executive management and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, Audit Committees, and Risk Committees.
- Monitor emerging risks and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Promote a risk-aware culture throughout the organisation.
- Review and improve internal risk management processes and controls.
- Support governance, compliance, and audit-related initiatives.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on risk management matters.
- Provide leadership and guidance on best practices in risk management.
RequirementsQualifications
- Relevant NQF Level 8 qualification in one of the following fields:
- Risk Management
- Finance
- Auditing
- Business Administration
- Risk Management
- A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA, MCom, or equivalent will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Risk Management.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior management role.
- Proven experience in Enterprise Risk Management within:
- the public sector; or
- large and complex organisations.

- Experience engaging with Boards, Audit Committees, and Risk Committees.
- Registered member of IRMSA as a CRM Professional/Practitioner or equivalent.
