Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a dynamic professional engineering consultancy in Pretoria East. This role is ideal for a recent civil engineering graduate looking to develop practical experience across civil infrastructure, transportation, and multidisciplinary engineering projects within a fast-paced consulting environment.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced professional engineers and technical specialists, contributing to the planning, design, analysis, and delivery of engineering projects across commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure developments. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and analysis of civil engineering infrastructure projects
• Support the preparation of engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and project documentation
• Contribute to roads, stormwater, bulk services, and infrastructure design projects
• Participate in feasibility studies, site investigations, and engineering assessments
• Assist with project planning, coordination, and technical delivery under supervision
• Liaise with internal engineering teams and external project stakeholders
• Ensure designs comply with relevant South African engineering standards and regulations
• Assist with construction monitoring, site inspections, and quality assurance processes where required
• Utilise modern engineering software and design tools to develop cost-effective technical solutions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation within project delivery processes

Minimum Requirements

• BEng / BSc Degree in Civil Engineering
• Recently graduated or up to 2 years’ relevant experience within a consulting or project-based environment
• Strong academic foundation in civil engineering design principles
• Knowledge of civil engineering software and design packages will be advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Eagerness to learn and develop toward professional registration
