Junior /Graduate Mechanical Engineer ENVIRONMENT: A Mechanical Engineer with critical attention to detail who can work in a pressure-driven environment handling multiple priorities is sought by a fast-paced Protective Mobility service in Pretoria. Your role will include Medium and Heavy-duty trucks (4x4, 6x6, and 8x8 vehicles with high mobility and extreme levels of landmine, IED, and ballistic protection chassis harness design using 3D CAD - and 2D Schematic software, preparing bills of materials and their representative 3D assemblies (Unigraphics NX) while evaluating the scope of the work and managing project timelines.DUTIES: Qualifications Required Diploma/B-tech /BSC Mechanical Engineering, from a recognized institution. 2 years of working experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry Skills Required Computer literate in MS Office as well as Solid works, Sigma nest, Acumatica, and CREO. Must be able to work independently.Must have worked previously in the automotive manufacturing industry. Minimum 2 years working as a Junior Mechanical Engineer. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Manage time well and multitask with the ability to work under pressure. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team.Own transport. Must be willing to work overtime. Main Responsibilities Design mechanical equipment, parts, and systems for transportation vehicles. Create and maintain bills of materials and drawing registers. Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs Develop and perform testing processesPerform engineering calculations to support design work Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
