Accountant/Tax Practitioner, Pretoria

An established firm based in Pretoria is seeking a detail-oriented and driven

Accountant/Tax practitioner with 1–2 years’ experience. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, be a registered Tax Practitioner, and have practical experience working with Trusts and tax compliance. Key Responsibilities

Capture and maintain accurate accounting records Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors) Assist in the preparation of financial statements Prepare and submit tax returns (Individuals, Companies, and Trusts) Ensure compliance with SARS regulations and deadlines Administer Trust accounts, including:

Trust financial statements Beneficiary allocations and distributions Trust tax compliance and submissions

Liaise with clients and provide professional support Assist with audits and year-end processes Maintain proper filing systems and supporting documentation Relevant Accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree) Registered Tax Practitioner (essential) 1–2 years’ experience in an accounting firm or similar environmentProven experience with Trusts (essential) Strong understanding of tax compliance and SARS processes Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to meet deadlines in a pressurised environmentGood communication and client-facing skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Advantageous

Experience with software such as Sage, Xero, CaseWare or Pastel Familiarity with SARS eFiling and CIPC submissions
