PRACTICE MANAGER– MULTIDISCIPLINARY MEDICAL CENTRE
Location:
Montana, Pretoria
Position Type:
Full-Time
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 07:00– 16:00
Salary:
R25 000 to R30 000 CTC per month
Introduction The successful candidate will be responsible for the full operational management of the practice, ensuring effective administration, service delivery, staff coordination, compliance, and alignment with organisational policies and healthcare legislation.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management
Full operational management of a multidisciplinary medical practice.
Ensure alignment with national operational strategy, healthcare legislation, ethical standards, and organisational policies.
Lead overall branch operations, including clinical support, administration, front-office processes, and service delivery.
Drive implementation of national operational initiatives and local process improvements.
Monitor daily workflows to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional practice operations.
Stakeholder&Relationship Management
Manage relationships between Health Professionals, administrative staff, patients, and corporate leadership.
Ensure operational stability through effective communication and issue resolution.
Support a professional, patient-focused service culture.
Financial&Performance Management
Monitor operational costs, turnover, and financial performance.
Provide reporting on budget variances, operational trends, and performance indicators.
Assist with cost control and improved operational efficiency.
Compliance&Governance
Ensure compliance with healthcare legislation, ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and relevant registrations.
Participate in internal audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented within required timeframes.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and administrative controls.
Human Capital&Staffing
Oversee manpower planning and staffing structures aligned to practice needs and occupancy levels.
Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
Assist with IR-related matters in line with company policies and procedures.
Ensure effective staff supervision, scheduling, accountability, and performance follow-up.
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12.
A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Practice Management, Office Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
At least 3 years’ management experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience within a medical, clinical, healthcare, or multidisciplinary practice environment.
Previous experience managing administrative operations within a medical practice or clinic will be advantageous.
Strong understanding of healthcare operations, compliance, patient service, and staff management.
Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent planning, organising, control, and follow-up skills.
Must be proactive, responsible, and able to use initiative.
Customer care orientated.
Bilingual.
Good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Professional, organised, and operationally strong.
Able to manage people, processes, and performance.
Comfortable working in a busy medical environment.
Strong attention to detail and compliance.
