Accountant – Mining, Griekwastad

Overview

Hire Resolve is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client’s team in the mining industry. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our mining clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements Manage general ledger and perform monthly reconciliations Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations Assist with budgeting and forecasting Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management Ensure compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations Support audit and financial review processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the mining industry Strong knowledge of mining-specific accounting principles and regulations Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel Solid understanding of financial statements, general ledger, and financial reporting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills SAIPA or relevant professional certification is a plus Skilled with Pastel, Sage and Excel
