Facilities Manager, Randburg

Our client, a prestigious private Christian school based in Johannesburg North, is seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Facilities Manager to join their team.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the management, maintenance, and development of the school’s campus, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programmes
• Manage service providers, contractors, and maintenance staff
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Prepare, monitor, and control facilities-related budgets
• Lead facility improvement projects, upgrades, and capital works
• Oversee campus security systems and protocols
• Ensure the school environment consistently reflects high operational standards
• Respond effectively to any facilities-related issues or emergencies

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities or property management
• Relevant qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Property Management, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Solid project management capability
• Financial acumen with budgeting experience
• Valid driver’s licence
