Area Operations Manager - Retail Richards Bay

This role is ideal for a candidate with Food Retail Management experience or strong provensenior retail experience

What You'll Need

General retail experience 8 years ++

5–7 years in multi-site retail operations

Branch or Regional Management retail experience at least 5 years

Strong financial, stock control, and people management skills

Valid driver's licence— extensive travel required

Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and POS systems

Key Responsibilities

Drive GP% targets and conduct weekly financial reviews across all sites

Enforce stock controls— shrinkage below 1%, fuel variances below 0.5%

Maintain site standards: cleanliness, pricing, merchandising, and compliance

Oversee cash, banking, reconciliations, and back-office accuracy

Lead, coach, and performance manage Site Managers and Supervisors

Handle recruitment, disciplinaries, and CCMA matters

Ensure HSEQ compliance and full system accuracy across all platforms
