Sales Representative (Mechanical Seals, couplings, …, Richards Bay

Introduction

Seeking a seasoned Sales Representative within the mechanical seal industry. Reporting to the regional manager, this is a sales-driven, sales-focused role. Maintaining existing customers, sales growth, and increasing the market share will be paramount to the success of this role. Duties&Responsibilities

Be responsible for achieving the short, medium- and long-term sales and orders objectives for the sales area located in the Richard Bay region to meet and exceed business targets. Establish and maintain contracts across the region for the successful and profitable management of the region. Establish strategic alliances with end-users, cultivating long-term commitment and co-operation for mutual benefit and added value.Implement the business development plans for sales areas in line with the company's strategic direction for the region. Liaise with various technical departments to provide engineered solutions/advice to end users. Prospect for new accounts and establish new accounts. Continuous visitations to end users to meet customer needs.Support and supervise installation of products when required. Desired Experience&Qualification

EDUCATION&EXPERIENCE: Qualified to at least an engineering degree. Any additional business qualifications would be an advantage. 5-10 years' experience in the mechanical seal industry with a proven track record in strategic selling in a complex/technical/commercial environment. KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:Creative problem-solving skills. Excellent planning, project, and time-management skills. Results-driven, both individually and within a team. Ability to work independently and be a strong team player within a sales/commercial team. Experience in a distinctly customer service-oriented business.Technically capable, with knowledge of sealing products in applied areas such as oil, gas, and petrochemical being essential. High levels of mental toughness and proven abilities to handle complex, fast-moving, and challenging commercial issues in a robust operating environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.Computer proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
