Linux Engineer (Intermediate & Senior), Johannesburg

Looking for a Linux Engineer with a Professional Linux qualification/certification to become part of an infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, designing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and configuring hardware and software and offering user support. The ideal candidate needs to have in-depth knowledge of administering servers and support networks and infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Matric essential
• Linux professional qualification essential
• Diploma or Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematical Sciences advantageous

Experience:

• Thorough knowledge of Linux, networking, server, and storage essentials
• At least 2-5 years of suitable work experience in this discipline (Intermediate Engineer)
• At least 5-8 years of suitable work experience in this discipline (Senior Engineer)
• Dedicated and reliable. Problem solver. Work well as a team player, as well as independently and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
