WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES?

The Team

· Become part of our product “International Finance Template” (IFT)

· The team delivers customizing, development and maintenance for finance and accounting process for one of the largest BMW Group financial applications (customers in more than 100 Group entities)

· The IFT Template Factory is a cross-department virtual organization to assure the template quality, industrialize changes and optimize collaboration on the IFT platform and is an umbrella function including Business (Processes & Standards), Design Management, Build Management

· To fulfil the delivery tasks, the Template Factory cooperates closely with Release Management, Platform Management, and Test Management.

· The team currently consists of approx. 20 members (Functional Consultants, Developers, Test Manager, Operations Responsible, Build Manager, Design Manager, Agile Master)

General Role Tasks

· Understand the business requirements, preparing AS-IS, and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for Business Blueprint document

· Understands Workflow (Advantageous)

· Preparation of testing documents and perform internal testing

· Integration testing with other modules

· Write Specifications and interact with developers.

· Validate and document requirements against Template to be presented to headquarter for decision

· Align with Functional Consultants and Developers of the IFT team and the maintenance team

· Understand interfaces, IDOC and RFC's processing

· Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners

· Go-live preparation and post Go-live support (could be on weekends, late evenings)

· Interaction with clients through meetings, calls and emails

· Assisting in troubleshooting issues for the system and providing support

· Executing the required changes through configuration

· Carrying out regression testing

· User interface transactional solutions

IFT Specific Role Tasks/Requirements

· Planning: Assist user departments in designing system requirement/proposal documentation based on business processes

· Designing Responsibilities in projects

o Ensure that all processes have been investigated / considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements

o Review business requirements and propose and create system design, evaluate alternatives

o Review and present proposed system design / solution to IT Project Manager / Leader and User Management or System owner / Business owner for IFT

o Design systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements (Template solution)

o Ensure that the following steps in the Designing Cycle are executed

1. Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards)

2. Preparation of user and operation manual

3. Creation of Test Cases

4. User training (Key users)

5. System testing/parallel runs

6. System implementation (transition into line)

7. System checks/quality assurance

8. User sign-off

· Time estimating

o Time estimates must be adhered to according to projects

o Estimated completion time to be agreed upon by Consultant, Project Manager and User Organisation

· Principal accountabilities

o Ensure that the timings set by the Project Manager are achieved

o Ensure user satisfaction / acceptance of all completed systems / processes / maintenance requests

o Provide support to all user departments in achieving the approved company technology and software objectives.

o Ensure systems compatibility with agreed AG strategies and standard

o Ensure that all job streams for a system operate correctly

· Leadership tasks

o Ensure user appreciation of the principles of system designing

· Provide assistance to users in evaluating system proposals
