Job Purpose

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business and increasing revenue by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, market analysis, relationship-building, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing both existing pipeline and developing new business opportunities
• Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
• Effectively build a short/medium term sales pipeline in accordance with targets.
• Initiating contact with potential customers through cold-calling and qualify inquiries generated from digital and other lead generating channels.
• Moving solid leads through the funnel and arranging in-person meetings and phone calls.
• Follow up with potential customers who expressed interest, through regular reviews and retargeting campaigns.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within prospective client companies.
• Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals.
• Effectively negotiate suitable solutions / value offerings and close new business.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline in CRM.
• Follow up on all proposals and effectively handle any client objection.
• Ensure all client queries are resolved timeously
• Complete necessary sales reports and submit by required deadlines
• Ensure all relevant documentation for new business is completed accurately and signed by the client before supply of services
• Complete proper hand over to recruitment operations to ensure successful implementation and execution of services to the client
• Maintain excellent relationships with existing clients, develop accounts and ensure growth.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12, NQF level 4 plus equivalent diploma or sales-related degree, NQF Level 5 or 6
• 2+ Years of business development experience within a Talent Solutions Offering Business
• Proven track record essential.
• Experience with contracting solutions essential.
• Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport
• Gauteng based
• Sound Knowledge of the Labour Industry, Labour-and Employment Acts
• Excellent Communication and People Skills, Numeracy Skills
• Computer Literate
• Experience in public speaking and conducting presentations
• Must be able to communicate and interact with both internal and external stakeholders at any level
• Ability to effectively cold call to market our services to the various industries
• Must be confident in prospecting for new business and closing deals.
