Accounts Payable Manager, Johannesburg

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts
payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of
vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing vendor
relationships.

Manage and supervise the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and
support as needed
? Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and other payables.
? Review and approve vendor invoices and other payables reports for accuracy,
completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
? Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to improve
efficiency and accuracy of the AP process
? Assist AP processing team to reconcile vendor statements and resolve any
discrepancies
? Work with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any accounts payable
issues or discrepancies
? Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports, including aged payables and vendor
statements
? Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and
reconciliations
? Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and respond to audit requests related to
accounts payable
? Liaise with the treasury department on outstanding payments and planning of funds.
? The accounts payable team is also responsible for processing the entity bank accounts.
