EXTERNAL SALES EXECUTIVE

Our client a leading publishing and advertising company is looking to increase their client base by offering print, digital and mobile solutions for their Property/Estates publication, they are looking for an EXTERNAL SALES EXECUTIVE to join their dynamic team

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell advertising to potential clients
  • Source new businesses to pitch promotional solutions to
  • Reaching and exceeding sales targets
  • Maintain and increase level of existing clients' advertising spend (small renewal book to develop client base)
  • Update the CRM daily
  • Attend client functions and networking as requested or needed
  • Travel from time-to-time as required to sell advertising
  • Liaise with accounts department when necessary regarding all clients in your portfolio
  • In conjunction with the ad-coordinator, follow up all outstanding advertising material
  • Liaise with ad-coordinator with regards to ad material
  • Ensure that all bookings for issues are signed off prior to the advert running in an issue
  • Stick to advertising, booking and material deadlines
  • Maintain the company's image and live their values

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Dynamic, fun, outgoing personality able to integrate with a team
  • Be results-and target-driven
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive environment
  • Presentable, professional and punctual both at work and when seeing clients
  • Be organized and on top of admin

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Tertiary business or marketing related qualification an advantage
  • Experience in business-to-business' sales-Media/Advertising
  • Own car and a valid driving license
  • Must be able to bring in new business and retain existing business
  • Previous face to face sales experience
  • Previous cold calling experience
  • Computer literate
  • Experience using a CRM
  • Digitally Savvy

Our client is open to negotiate the salary package with the right candidate, a basic salary is offered with an incentive, commission is earned from R1, the commission structure is 12% on new sales and 6% on renewals
