Junior Analyst- Data Analytics, Johannesburg

Purpose of the job

• To prepare appropriate data used for models built to optimise Cash SA (e.g., ETL builds, Reservoir engineering, PY charm scrips, SQL scripts and views across all data required for analytics).
• To prepare/design appropriate analytics and visualisation models built to optimise Cash SA (e.g., Power BI, Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, Splunk tools).

Responsibilities

• Compiles and aggregates data sets from multiple disparate sources, handles and pre-processes large unstructured and structured datasets to analyze data integrity and usefulness.
• Applies data mining, quantitative analysis to pro-actively reveal insights into data outputs to enable analysts to respond quickly and holistically to new visulisation demands.
• Drives standardization and automation of data in order to remove variables from the data which leads to improved customer service and speed of insight delivery.
• Assists with ensuring compliance to the banks Risk and governance frameworks.
• Takes the lead on learning new tools and systems that are required based on the changes in business needs.

Experience required

• 1-2 years experience in data modelling applications and data analysis.
• Knowledge of data management , products and processes.
• SSIS, SQL, ETL, Power BI, Kibana, Teradata

Minimum qualifications

• 3-year B.Comm degree (i.e. Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
