Ensure that sufficient drivers are planned and allocated to meet the scheduled demand.
• The creation of orders to be uploaded onto TMS.
• Assignment of orders to vehicles and drivers
• Fuel Management – Creating and releasing refuel orders. Monitoring depots for stock availability and pricing
• Overall supervision of drivers and compliance to meet operational goals
• Oversee all technology platforms such as, TMS, iCam tracking and video monitoring and communication with drivers.
• Do a thorough hand over to the incoming shift for continuity of the operations
• Track and manage all exceptions where demands are not met and manage the customer expectations
• Manage customer expectations and service delivery compliance
• Deal with all exceptions with customers and escalate if necessary to achieve continuous improvement
• Ensure customer orders are collated and uploaded to TMS
• Ensure all orders are accounted for on the schedule and are reconciled with the orders,
• Keep the customer load and turn around times schedule updated after loads are completed
• Register all occurrences for the shift on an email for handover to the next incumbent
• Update the schedule board in the Control Tower in accordance with the fleet and delivery schedule
