How you'll role

As a Financial Manager you will oversee and manage all fiscal responsibilities, risk, and reporting and while being responsible for providing leadership and support to business stakeholders on financial management and strategic implementation to achieve corporate objectives and business growth.

What you'll do

Efficient and Effective Execution of all Financial Functions

• Responsible for full management accounting and reporting function within prescribed deadlines
• Hands-on management of daily and monthly (i.e. VAT returns) financial functions
• Preparation of annual budgets and cashflow forecasts
• Providing input into improving processes and controls
• Providing input for Audit and Risk Committee meetings and annual BBBEE audit
• Managing statutory audit, including preparation of annual financial statements and corporation tax computation

Budget Control

• Ensure processes and procedures for handling of payments and cash are followed and line with approved budgets
• Ensure best practice for payment approvals and consider and investigate more cost-effective methods / improvements

People Management

• Monitor and evaluate employee performance
• Identify training needs and develop employees
• Mentor and direct all subordinates and ensure good and harmonious working relationships
• Effectively manage people to ensure that service, quality and cost requirements are met

What you'll need

• 8+ years' experience in a similar role
• Qualified CA (Registered with SAICA) or BCom Accounting (Honours)
• SYSPRO 8 (Advantageous) or experience on similar system is essential
• Excellent MS Office Skills (Reporting, Presentation and Communication)
