Senior Standards Officer, Rustenburg

Overview

Position: Senior Standards Officer – Mining
Location: North West

Responsibilities:
– Develop, implement and maintain standards, policies, procedures and guidelines for the mining department in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
– Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to the established standards and identify areas for improvement.
– Provide guidance and support to team members in understanding and implementing the standards effectively.
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
– Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety and environmental sustainability.
– Ensure that all mining activities are carried out in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

Requirements:
– Grade 12 / Standard 10.
– Minimum of 5 years mining experience as an appointed Standards Coordinator or Chief Safety Officer or
Mine Overseer.
– Trade Certificate or Blasting Certificate or Mine Overseer Certificate will be an advantage.
– MS Office suite – essential
