Description
Purpose To ensure that asset management is effectively performed with regards to master data, maintenance tactics, planning, scheduling, monitoring of maintenance performance and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Grade 12 or NQF 4 Equivalent is essential
Qualification in Planned Maintenance or Recognised Trade Certificate is essential
3 years of working experience as a PMA Officer (Internal) / Maintenance Planner (External) is essential
Competencies
SAP Analysis for MS Office is desirable
SAP PM or similar Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is essential
Knowledge of planned maintenance principles, processes, and systems.
Familiarity with the complete asset life cycle process, from acquisition to decommissioning.
Understanding the purpose and application of equipment warranties.
Knowledge of processes related to identifying and scrapping end-of-life equipment.
Understanding of the purpose and use of Planned Maintenance documentation.
Strong customer‑service orientation with a commitment to service excellence.
Working knowledge of basic workplace health and safety practices.
Responsibilities
Updates and maintains master data (functional locations, machinery and equipment) and warranties in SAP
Scrap equipment beyond economical repair in SAP
Maintenance tactics and task lists
Maintenance work planning and control
Compiles management data analysis and reports
Notifies responsible persons of changes in Planned Maintenance activities
Works according to the Asset Management procedures and governance documents
Implements initiatives aimed at eliminating waste, improving productivity and reducing operating costs within scope and assists with the implementation thereof to contribute to the achievement of operational objectives
Supports and participates in change management initiatives to drive continuous improvement and optimisation
Provides relevant support to stakeholders in PM activities to ensure team objectives are achieved
Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non‑compliance
Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety
Conducts regular inspections and reports hazards to maintain a safe work environment in the own work area, recommending actions as needed
Preference will be given to candidates from the designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, the Company's Recruitment Policy, and Employment Equity Plan.
