Junior Accountant, Rustenburg, South Africa

Introduction

An opportunity for an honest, dedicated, hardworking, enthusiastic, agile, safety aware and results driven Junior Accountant exists at a mine close to Rustenburg.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring and capturing operational site costs, including plant, mining and maintenance costs
• Support tracking and reconciliation of diesel usage and consumption
• Assist in compiling monthly production and stock reports
• Capture and maintain accurate financial and operational data
• Assist with cost variance analysis and highlight discrepancies
• Support the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation
• Assist with general finance administration and audits as required

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field
• 1–3 years' experience in an accounting or finance role (mining experience advantageous)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced site environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the finance field

Package & Remuneration

R 45 000 - R 55 000 CTC pm.
