Minimum Requirements

Minimum 2–5 years’ experience within the commercial insurance industry Experience in commercial underwriting and portfolio management Strong knowledge of policy administration, renewals and endorsements FAIS compliant where applicable RE5 qualification advantageous Relevant insurance qualification preferredStrong administrative and communication skills Computer literate on insurance systems and Microsoft Office Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and maintain commercial insurance portfolios Assist with underwriting functions and policy administration Prepare and process quotations, renewals, endorsements and new business Liaise with clients, brokers and insurers regarding policies and queries Ensure accurate and timeous processing of insurance documentationMaintain strong relationships with clients and insurers Assist senior underwriters with day-to-day portfolio management Review policy schedules and ensure underwriting compliance Follow up on outstanding requirements and insurer feedback Provide professional client service and support Handle general underwriting and administrative duties
