Accounts Controller: Reconciliations&Financial Reporting, Soweto

Responsibilities The Accounts Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations within the organisation. Key duties include daily bank reconciliations across multiple centre accounts, monitoring and reconciling petty cash and credit card transactions, and ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved timeously. The role also involves managing lease agreements, processing and reconciling creditor accounts, and supporting fleet management reporting and PAYE allocations. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including debtors, payroll, and VAT.

Bank reconciliations - Daily monitoring, matching and querying of all bank movements for 12 Centre accounts as well as other bank accounts.

Petty cash and credit card reconciliations to monthly statements to ensure withdrawals and charges are matched, as well as raising queries where discrepancies are identified.

Lease agreements - manage lease agreements which includes reconciliation of monthly statements and ensuring payment is done timeously.

Creditors reconciliations for allocated suppliers to ensure timeous payments of suppliers and resolving of queries.

Fleet management - cost allocation and submission of reports for PAYE deductions.

Perform and maintain accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations (Debtors, Payroll&VAT).

Qualifications&Experience

A BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

2–3 years’ finance experience within an online computerised environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

Exposure to JDE (JD Edwards) system will be advantageous.

Strong experience in bank reconciliations, cashbook management, and financial reporting.

Solid computer literacy and numerical accuracy.
