Reconciliation Accountant, Soweto

Responsibilities

Act as the subject matter expert for all RTR (Record to Report) processes, ensuring alignment with local regulatory and statutory requirements in South Africa.

Oversee and manage the deliverables of the outsourced RTR team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all outsourced functions.

Take ownership of complex bank reconciliations, ensuring all reconciliation issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly prior to month-end close.

Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all cash book transactions, including salary and ad-hoc payments processed via the bank.

Manage the upkeep and accuracy of all bank mandates and establish strong working relationships with key banking relationship managers.

Ensure timely processing and reconciliation of payments related to expense claims (e.g., Concur processing) and corporate credit cards.

Proactively collaborate with service providers to identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the RTR function.

Support the Financial Accountant with ad-hoc tasks requiring specialized knowledge in treasury accounting and regulatory payments (e.g., VAT, PAYE).
