Scrum Master, Soweto

We are seeking a Scrum Master with 4–7 years of experience to drive Agile delivery across key financial domains including

Payments, Investor Services&Trade, Pricing&Billing, and Liquidity Management . The role focuses on facilitating high-performing teams, ensuring Agile best practices are followed, and enabling the successful delivery of complex, data and technology-driven initiatives within a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate

Agile ceremonies

including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Guide and coach teams on

Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, and continuous improvement .

Remove impediments and ensure smooth progress of delivery.

Work closely with Product Owners to manage and prioritise the

product backlog .

Track and report on

team performance, sprint progress, and delivery metrics .

Foster a culture of

collaboration, accountability, and high performance

within the team.

Ensure alignment between business stakeholders and delivery teams.

Support delivery of initiatives across payments systems, trading platforms, billing engines, and treasury solutions.

Promote

Agile maturity

and drive adoption of best practices across teams.

Coordinate with multiple teams in a

scaled Agile environment

where required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, or equivalent Agile certification.

Experience Requirements

4–7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead.

Proven experience delivering projects in

financial services or banking environments .

Experience working across complex domains such as Payments, Trade/Investor Services, Billing, or Treasury/Liquidity.

Technical&Tools Knowledge

Familiarity with

Agile tools

(e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).

Understanding of

software development lifecycle (SDLC)

and DevOps practices.

Basic understanding of

data, integration, and cloud environments .

Experience with

release management and change processes .

Domain Experience (Highly Preferred)

Payments:

Payment processing, transaction flows, settlement cycles.

Pricing&Billing:

Billing cycles, pricing models, invoicing systems.

Liquidity Management:

Treasury operations, cash flow processes, liquidity reporting.
