Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the property acquisitions process from contract to closing, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all steps.
Conduct thorough title searches, examine title commitments, and resolve any title issues or discrepancies.
Prepare and review closing documents, including title affidavits, endorsements, and settlement statements.
Coordinate with title companies, lenders, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction closings.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices throughout the acquisitions process.
Maintain detailed and organized records of all acquisition transactions and related documentation.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties to provide updates and resolve issues.
Support due diligence efforts and conduct risk assessments related to property titles and acquisitions.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of acquisitions and title work.
Qualifications
Proven experience in property acquisitions, title examination, or real estate closing processes.
Strong knowledge of real estate title documentation, title commitment review, and closing procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple acquisition transactions simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Proficiency in relevant software and platforms used in property acquisitions and title management.
Ability to work independently and during U.S. business hours.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive real estate information.
Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of real estate transactions, particularly concerning contractual matters. This may include expertise in real estate law or relevant experience in roles such as a Conveyancing Secretary or Conveyancing Paralegal. Prior experience is essential.
