Operations Manager to oversee office and operational functions in an industrial company. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for a decisive professional capable of managing diverse teams, supporting technical workflows, and exercising executive authority in the Director’s absence. This is a proactive, hands-on position. The successful candidate will lead from the front, ensuring seamless integration between technical site services, sales support, and day-to-day business operations.Key Requirements
Sector Expertise: A proven background in Engineering, Mining, or a heavy technical industry is essential. Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success (5+ years) managing teams of 10+ personnel with a firm, solutions-driven approach. Technical Literacy: Ability to confidently guide technicians and understand the nuances of site-based engineering operations.Sales Competence: Previous exposure to technical sales or sales management. Operational Strength: Highly organised with the ability to maintain structure in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Executive Presence: An assertive leader comfortable making autonomous decisions and upholding company standards.The Ideal Candidate

You possess the "technical shorthand" needed to earn the respect of field technicians and the commercial acumen to support a sales desk. You are looking for a role where your ability to maintain order and drive operational excellence will be directly felt.Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Direct and manage a multidisciplinary team of approximately 12 staff members, fostering accountability and professional discipline. Operational Oversight: Coordinate daily office functions and technical deployments, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity. Technical Supervision: Oversee technician performance, monitor site attendance, and provide high-level support for complex technical challenges.Sales Integration: Support the technical sales team and manage overflow sales enquiries to maintain consistent revenue growth. Strategic Decision-Making: Act as the primary point of contact and second-in-command, stepping into the Director’s role as required. Performance Management: Monitor workflows, manage escalations, and ensure all project deadlines are met within a structured environment.Remuneration&Benefits
