This Financial Manager role is responsible for a number of aspects of financial management whilst ensuring compliance with internal policies, controls and procedures. The role includes a specific focus on revenue management within the organisation, overseeing revenue reporting, billing, client engagement and collections.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic input regarding various aspects of the business processes and long-term business plans.

Ensure that the organisation’s financial systems, procedures and controls are effective and operating as designed.

Oversee, manage and guide a team of finance professionals.

Full management and oversight of the revenue business cycle and monthly billing runs.

Management of the billing department team with responsibility for their growth and performance.

Oversee monthly billing of clients as per client MSAs and requirements.

Notify clients of price increases or changes to their contracts.

Manage the collections process whilst monitoring payment terms and account suspensions.

Work with clients to resolve queries.

Reporting on revenue and debtors accounts to management.

Prepare and manage the annual budgets for projects and statutory entities.

Monitor and manage the cash flow requirements of the organisation and the individual projects.

Operational budget management and cost control.

Manage and maintain the financial records of the organisation.

Verify the accuracy and quality of financial information.

Ensure statutory compliance by implementing policies and procedures pertaining to the financial management of the organisation in terms of the Company’s Act, VAT Act and the Income Tax Act.

Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and disclosure and accounting treatment in line with IFRS.

Statutory accounts administration for group subsidiaries.

Collaborate with external audit to ensure an efficient and timely financial audit.

Perform preliminary annual and provisional tax computations and assessments, including indirect taxes; work with tax advisors in finalising tax computations and regulatory filings.

Verification of monthly VAT calculations for filing with SARS and ensuring operating effectiveness of Sarbanes-Oxley controls applicable to the revenue cycle.

Qualifications And Experience

BCom / BAcc, or equivalent 3-year tertiary qualification in Finance

Preferable: Qualified CA (SA) or CIMA

3-6 years’ experience in a Financial Manager role
