Role Output:
An NGO client is looking for an experienced and resourceful NEW Business Development Manager to develop and implement growth opportunities in existing and new markets. We're searching for professionals who have a solid track record of creating long-term value for organisations within NGO or a related sector.
Qualifications&Experience
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related fields.
A master’s degree is advantageous.
People management is essential
Strong understanding of B‑BBEE legislation and policy essential
8‑10+ years working experience in Business Development with some exposure to the NGO market
B2B C‑suite and Board level experience essential
Must have strong, proven track record in
Services Sales
NOT in PRODUCT environments
Practical experience in managing finances, accounting, budgeting, control and reporting.
Knowledge of the SA macroeconomic and microeconomic fundamentals
Expertise in Microsoft Office applications
Experience in rolling out implementation of a CRM tool advantageous
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets
Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to Corporate Clients
Develop and implement business development strategies
Generate leads through networking, referrals, and industry engagement
Build business relationships with current and potential clients
Create informative presentations and delivering information to potential clients
Manage team members in management of a database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.)
