Minimum Requirements
B.Com Accounting, Finance or related degree (essential)
Experience
Minimum 57 years experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong BOM and production costing knowledge
Experience working in or supporting a franchise or multi-site retail business (highly advantageous)
Demonstrated ability to produce individual business unit or store-level P&Ls
Proven payroll management experience using Payspace, VIP or similar
Solid understanding of South African tax legislation, SARS e-filing and statutory compliance
Proficiency in accounting software such as Syspro
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modelling and pivot tables
Financial Management&Reporting
Oversee the full accounting function: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements and variance analysis for the CFO
Manage daily cash flow, forecasting and working capital across all business channels
Prepare and submit all statutory returns: VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and income tax to SARS on time
Coordinate the annual external audit and serve as the primary liaison with auditors
Develop/Assist and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts by department and business unit
Design and enforce internal financial controls, policies and approval frameworks
Support the CFO with board reporting, investor presentations and financial modelling
Maintain accurate product costing models reflecting raw materials, labour, overheads and wastage
Monitor and investigate production cost variances and drive corrective action with the factory team
Oversee stock control, raw material procurement finance, cycle counts and annual stock takes
Track and report on manufacturing KPIs: yield rates, material utilisation, cost-per-unit and production margins
Collaborate with procurement to negotiate supplier terms and manage landed cost calculations
Oversee and review the full monthly payroll for all manufacturing, retail and head office employees
Ensure accurate processing of earnings, deductions, commissions, overtime and statutory contributions
Submit EMP201 and EMP501 reconciliations to SARS and manage PAYE compliance
Manage Employment Equity, COIDA, SETA reporting and ensure compliance according to regulations
Maintain payroll records, ensure confidentiality and adhere to relevant bargaining council agreements
