Role Overview An international fintech specialising in cross-border payments is seeking qualified CA(SA)s for 3 to 6-month fixed-term contracts. Operating at a massive transactional scale and backed by +$75m VC funding, the scaleup is a key player in building the future rails of how money moves across the globe.
Reporting to the finance leadership, you will take full ownership of specific audit cycles to support the internal finance teams with their annual statutory audits. Your primary mandate is to act as a dedicated liaison, managing all auditor interactions, navigating internal data queries, and supporting the successful completion of multi-year audit requirements within a high-pressure, high-growth environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to transition from the Audit industry into a commercial, tech-driven finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary point of contact and lead liaison for external auditors to facilitate the completion of multi-year audit backlogs.
Extract, compile, and refine complex financial reports and supporting documentation from internal systems to ensure audit readiness.
Investigate and resolve technical audit queries by navigating internal departments and financial infrastructure.
Perform detailed reconciliations and audit preparation tasks to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
Project-manage specific audit years to meet strict deadlines required by investors and executive leadership.
Shield the core finance team from the administrative burden of audits by managing the end-to-end evidence collection process.
Qualifications&Experience
Qualified CA(SA) with 0–4 years of post-qualification experience.
Proven experience in external audit or managing complex audit preparation cycles.
Immediate availability or a notice period of 2 weeks or less is essential for this project.
Previous experience in fintech or high-volume transactional environments is highly advantageous.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with previous audit experience in a NetSuite environment being highly beneficial.
