Site Foreman, Soweto

As the Site Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of residential building sites. You will lead on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure that all projects are completed to specification, on time, and within the highest standards of workmanship.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities for labourers and subcontractors on site.

Ensure all building work aligns strictly with drawings, specifications, and project timelines.

Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship throughout the construction process.

Enforce site health and safety regulations to ensure a compliant and secure environment.

Manage site tools, equipment, and material inventory.

Conduct daily site inspections and provide progress reports to management.

Identify and resolve technical or logistical on-site challenges efficiently.

Oversee site cleanliness and maintain professional standards at all times.

Assist with setting out and basic measurements.

Accurately complete and submit staff timesheets for fortnightly wage processing.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the residential construction sector.

A valid driver’s licence is essential.

Sound technical knowledge of South African residential building processes and standards.

Ability to interpret and work from building plans and technical drawings.

Strong communication skills with the ability to lead diverse site teams.
