The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive in-house accounts team of six, reporting to a Chartered Accountant. The Service Charge Accountant will take ownership of their own portfolio, preparing full sets of accounts, managing budgets, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This is a remote role following UK working hours, offering flexibility and scope for career development.

Responsibilities

Prepare full sets of service charge accounts from Trial Balance and Nominal Ledger.

Produce budgets, financial client reports, and expenditure reviews.

Manage accounts preparation in-house without reliance on external accountants.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Ensure adherence to deadlines and high standards of accuracy.

Collaborate with the accounts team to support overall team objectives.

About You

Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification (or South African equivalent); ideally AAT Level 4 or studying towards ACCA/CIMA.

Demonstrable strong accounting and double-entry skills, with the ability to produce accounts from Trial Balance.

Experience preparing service charge accounts preferred but not essential.

Strong Excel skills; experience with MRI QUBE or similar software is advantageous.

Highly organized, able to multitask and manage your own portfolio autonomously.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients.

Proactive, deadline-driven, and comfortable working remotely.
