Finance Manager, Soweto

If you understand manufacturing margins, cost per unit pressures, yield optimization and inventory discipline; this role offers the visibility and ownership to make a measurable difference.

Based at a large-scale manufacturing site in Johannesburg East, this opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys being embedded within operations while driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Full P&L ownership for the manufacturing site

Monthly reporting, forecasting and annual budgeting

Inventory valuation, WIP management and cost control

Standard costing and detailed variance analysis

Manufacturing KPI analysis (cost per unit, yields, waste, efficiencies)

BI reporting and data-driven performance insights (Power BI / SAP / ERP systems)

CAPEX management and fixed asset control

Inventory optimisation and working capital improvements

Finance business partnering with Plant and Technical leadership

Lead and develop the site finance team

Ensure IFRS compliance, audit readiness and strong internal controls

Job Experience and Skills Required

CA(SA) or Non-CA qualification

5–8 years’ experience within the FMCG alcohol / beverage industry (non-negotiable)

3–5 years’ plant-level operational finance experience

Strong cost accounting and standard costing expertise

ERP systems experience (SAP / Syspro / Oracle / Dynamics essential)

Commercially astute and analytically strong

Confident operating in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

Proven stakeholder engagement and business partnering capability
