A growing short-term insurance business is looking to appoint a driven and technically strong Finance Manager to support its next phase of growth. This role offers significant exposure across statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, capital management and operational finance. If you are a qualified CA(SA) seeking responsibility, visibility and the opportunity to make a real impact, this role will challenge you and develop your skills!Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts Oversee month-end processes Prepare annual financial statements Compile financial reports for EXCO and Board review Submit regulatory returns to the Prudential Authority Ensure compliance with SAM, SCR, ORSA and IFRS 17 requirementsSupport internal and external audit processes Monitor capital adequacy, solvency coverage and liquidity Manage premiums, claims, cash flow and bank reconciliations Maintain strong internal control and governance frameworks Identify risks, control gaps and process improvements Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reportingJob Experience and Skills Required: 2 to 3 years' post-articles experience within short-term insurance (Non-life insurance) essential Exposure to motor, property and liability classes Strong understanding of SAM, SCR, ORSA and regulatory reporting IFRS 17 experience or working knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving abilityExcellent attention to detail Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders Advantageous Experience: Exposure to binder, UMA or outsourced insurance models Experience within a growing or scaling business Ability to operate effectively in a lean, hands-on environment The Ideal Candidate:Assertive and confident with the ability to challenge constructively Resilient, driven and comfortable taking ownership Strong governance mindset with commercial awareness Able to perform in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture
