Financial Accountant– Mining, Soweto

CBM360TIV is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities for mining projects in South Africa. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting efficient financial management across operations.

Reporting To Financial Manager / Finance Director

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting reports.

Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and ledger entries.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

Support internal and external audit processes.

Maintain accurate financial documentation and filing systems.

Support daily finance and administrative operations.

Education&Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.

ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred.

Experience

Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience in mining, construction, or industrial sectors.

Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting preferred.

Technical Skills

Financial reporting and bookkeeping.

Budgeting and reconciliation skills.

Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.

Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.

Understanding of taxation and financial compliance.

Languages

English (Required)
